Own and evolve Fanatics’ production PostgreSQL/RDS databases and Kafka/MSK streaming platform. Responsibilities include query and schema review, performance tuning, incident response, GitOps-based topic management, CDC pipeline reliability, self-service infrastructure tooling, upgrades, capacity and cost optimization, and cross-team infrastructure standards. The role serves as a technical escalation point, partners with product engineering teams, mentors engineers, and participates in on-call rotations.

Drive VIP strategic initiatives by developing executive presentations, financial models, dashboards, and analyses that inform business decisions. Translate ambiguous inputs into clear narratives, improve visibility into revenue and customer trends, automate processes using AI and analytics tools, and support organizational, operating model, go-to-market, and customer communication strategies. Build and manage a growing portfolio of highly engaged customers while contributing to the platform’s growth strategy.

Manage month-end close across multiple legal entities, prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and regulatory filings. Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, NFA, CFTC, SOX, and internal controls. Partner with Finance, Shared Services, Technical Accounting, auditors, and business stakeholders on forecasts, transactions, tax compliance, and process improvements. Manage daily New York office operations, including visitors, access, mail, conference rooms, seating, supplies, catering, onboarding support, and employee assistance. Deliver platform projects, improve developer experience, optimize cloud costs, and enhance reliability through observability, automation, and incident response. Partner with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams, evolve GitOps workflows, support high-availability systems, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior engineers.

Leads consumer PR and communications for Fanatics Betting & Gaming’s sportsbook, casino, markets, and app products. Develops earned-media and influencer strategies, builds relationships with sports, consumer, lifestyle, technology, and creator press, and creates culturally relevant campaigns. Partners with Marketing, Product, Legal, and Compliance in a regulated environment; establishes messaging frameworks, creator playbooks, KPIs, and reporting infrastructure while managing multiple product narratives and workstreams.

Own operational data pipelines, dashboards, reports, and analytical requests across customer experience, fraud, payments, workforce management, and VIP operations. Surface trends, anomalies, risks, and actionable recommendations; improve data quality and automate manual reporting. Partner with Data Engineering on dbt and data infrastructure, support AI agent initiatives, measure post-deployment performance, and identify opportunities to apply AI to analytics workflows.

Design, build, test, deploy, and operate scalable, secure, high-performance real-time trading and risk systems. Collaborate with Product, Quant, and Engineering teams, improve reliability and observability, participate in code reviews and on-call rotations, contribute to architecture and planning, document systems, and mentor teammates. The role requires translating business needs into technical solutions within an event-driven environment and occasionally traveling for special events and team meetings.
