Build and operate the control plane for a cloud DBaaS platform: develop scalable distributed systems, provision/scale/backup database clusters, create telemetry/logging and orchestration workflows, automate maintenance/playbooks, and stay current with cloud-native, Kubernetes, and control-plane patterns.

Design and build high-availability IAM services in Go at cloud scale. Develop authentication and authorization systems, SSO integrations using OIDC and SAML, policy-engine capabilities, multi-tenant identity models, and secure AI-agent workflows. Own reliability across Kubernetes and event-driven architectures, address security vulnerabilities, and provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Architect and develop high-availability IAM services in Go, including authentication, authorization, SSO, policy engines, multi-tenant identity models, and secure AI workflows. Own service reliability, Kubernetes deployments, event-driven migrations, and vulnerability remediation. Lead major technical workstreams, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers while collaborating across teams.

Own DigitalOcean’s enterprise AI-native architecture, including agent orchestration, shared AI platform services, tool and capability layers, enterprise-system integrations, identity, authorization, governance, observability, evaluation, and cost controls. Build production prototypes and reference implementations, write code, establish technical standards, mentor distributed engineers, and re-engineer business workflows with functional teams. Partner across platform engineering, security, identity, data, and business technology to deliver governed, scalable agentic systems.

Design and implement product security controls, secure architecture guardrails, security tools, and developer-focused CI/CD protections. Conduct threat modeling, secure code reviews, holistic security assessments, and AI security risk mitigation. Partner with product and engineering teams across the technology stack, promote secure coding, support security remediation, explain emerging vulnerabilities, and build an internal security culture through training and security exercises.

Lead and scale a Customer Success Engineering team supporting strategic cloud and AI/ML customers. Own 24x7 support operations, escalations, KPIs, and technical enablement across Kubernetes, databases, compute, GPUs and MLOps. Act as technical escalation for Sev1/Sev2 incidents, partner with TAMs and Product/Engineering, improve escalation runbooks and knowledge base, and drive automation and tooling to improve CSAT, response/resolution times, and support quality.

Lead global datacenter site selection and acquisition, managing end-to-end RFPs, MSAs, SLAs, and multi-million dollar negotiations. Own vendor relationships, perform TCO and financial modeling with Finance, and collaborate with Legal and Operations to ensure facilities meet technical standards. Monitor datacenter and energy markets, drive vendor performance, and scale colocation capacity to support business growth.

Lead global sourcing, selection, and procurement of datacenter space and power. Own end-to-end deal execution (RFPs, MSAs, SLAs, leases), negotiate multimillion-dollar contracts, manage vendor relationships, build TCO/financial models, collaborate with Legal and Operations, and monitor datacenter and energy market trends to inform site strategy.

Design, build, and operate high-availability key management services in Go. Lead key generation, rotation, escrow, destruction, envelope encryption, compliance engineering, vulnerability remediation, reliability improvements, incident response, and security-focused postmortems. Integrate HSMs and cloud KMS platforms, ensure cryptographic correctness across distributed systems, and mentor engineers while collaborating across infrastructure and product teams.
