Drive profitable sales growth for Materion Performance Alloys & Composites in the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada by prospecting, protecting key accounts, building capture plans, and delivering high-margin contracts in Defense, Space, and Nuclear markets. Maintain CRM and forecasts, coordinate internal stakeholders (quality, production, legal, contracting), support contract negotiations, and resolve receivables while continuously developing technical product knowledge (beryllium alloys, BeO ceramics, MMCs).

Hands-on Product Engineer supporting thin-film optics and coatings manufacturing. Focus on process characterization, optimization, continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, SPC/Six Sigma/Lean methods, project tracking, cross-functional collaboration, and quality problem-solving in a low-volume/high-mix environment. Must meet export compliance and security-clearance eligibility requirements.

Design, fabricate, program, install, modify, and repair electrical control systems and machinery. Create electrical schematics and documentation. Own onsite accounting operations for the Jena manufacturing site, manage month-end/year-end close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, support A/P and A/R, inventory and basic cost tracking, ensure local statutory compliance, assist consolidated reporting, liaise with corporate finance/tax/audit teams, support audits, and identify process improvements.

Lead development and scale-up of optical coating products and processes using Stage‑Gate methods; run medium technical projects, transfer technology to production, support global manufacturing sites, provide customer-facing technical support, create SOPs and documentation, mentor engineers, and contribute to IP and digitalization initiatives.

Design, develop, and optimize optical thin film coatings; create manufacturing plans; support and improve PVD processes using Lean/Six Sigma; implement SPC and DOE; collaborate cross-functionally; train technicians; manage project schedules and budgets; maintain process documentation in ERP.

Provide customer-facing engineering support to develop product/process solutions, define CTQs, resolve design and quality issues, support sales growth, represent the company at customer sites and trade shows, and collaborate cross-functionally on product strategy and execution. Significant travel required.

Serve as primary contact for customers to process orders, quote pricing, manage order status, and resolve issues. Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, shipping, and quality teams, maintain records, support export documentation, and meet KPIs. Support SAP/CRM workflows and assist with testing/training.

Lead design, planning, and execution of medium/low-voltage power distribution capital projects. Serve as electrical project lead, specify equipment, integrate controls (PLCs/HMIs/DCS/SCADA), oversee installation/commissioning, perform troubleshooting, ensure code compliance, develop standards and arc flash studies, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Manage month-end and year-end close, cost accounting, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and financial reporting under US GAAP and local statutes. Support forecasting, budgeting, tax filings, audits, accounts operations backup, and process improvements in a manufacturing plant.
