Lead and define the creative vision for a publishing house's book program. Manage and mentor art directors and designers, oversee design production, budgets, schedules, and vendor contracts. Collaborate with editorial, licensing, and authors to develop innovative book formats and high-quality print and digital designs while ensuring consistency, creative excellence, and on-time delivery.

Lead Quirk Books fiction publishing: originate concepts, acquire 8-10 titles annually, publish 4-6 original fiction books, edit manuscripts through production, manage author and agent relationships, collaborate cross-functionally on positioning, marketing, and sales, and mentor junior editorial staff.

Paid 12-month internship supporting the book editorial team. Duties include reviewing submissions, writing reader reports, acquisition memos, sales and cover copy, competitive research, copyright registrations, manuscript transmission, PDF creation, schedule maintenance, proofreading, and general administrative and project support across editorial, marketing, and publicity tasks.
