Leads enterprise IT software engineering and data solutions for a mission-critical, regulated aviation environment. Oversees architecture, application development, integrations, QA, lifecycle management, reliability, incident response, portfolio roadmaps, vendor and financial management, and continuous improvement. The LOA Specialist administers leave of absence processes, communicates with associates and managers, coordinates with third-party administrators and vendors, and oversees approvals, denials, accommodations, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work activities. The role advises on FMLA, ADA, disability benefits, labor agreements, and applicable legislation; maintains leave metrics and reports; supports policy compliance and process improvements; coordinates with payroll, recruiting, IT, Legal, and Employee Relations; and provides backup workers’ compensation support.

Owns enterprise SQL Server administration, including deployment, performance tuning, backup and recovery, HA/DR, security, patching, automation, and on-call support. Leads modernization across Azure SQL, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric; standardizes alerting, disaster recovery, governance, infrastructure-as-code, and database CI/CD. Partners with data engineering, BI, application, infrastructure, and governance teams while mentoring technical staff and making architecture, performance, and incident decisions.

Lead design, development, testing, and ownership of cloud-native enterprise applications. Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, ensure scalability, resiliency, security, and CI/CD/DevOps practices, and maintain long-term health of critical production systems.

Lead QA automation strategy and implementation for cloud-native applications: design test plans, build and maintain automation frameworks (unit, integration, UI, API, data), execute tests, manage defects, report quality metrics, and collaborate with product and development teams to ensure release readiness.

Prepare and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, post journal entries, analyze variances, conduct account audits, review balance sheet items, liaise with finance staff and third-party vendors, and support reporting requirements.
