Act as the technical bridge for Japan-market customers, translating requirements into solutions for Applied's vehicle intelligence platform. Lead technical discussions, demos, and POCs, track milestones, organize meetings, and support Vehicle OS and self-driving system engagements with OEMs.

Lead and operationalize global privacy and AI governance, advise Product/Engineering/Data teams on GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, cross-border transfers and EU AI Act compliance, conduct privacy/AI impact assessments, manage regulator and vendor engagements, and support product launches and commercial transactions requiring privacy review.

Build and maintain defense-grade simulation and AI tooling, design system architecture, collaborate with US teams and customers, mentor engineers, participate in code review and CI/CD, and apply ML/AI (including reinforcement learning and computer vision) to deliver scalable, reliable products.

Design and implement embedded firmware for vehicle platforms: integrate vendor components (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART), develop RTOS applications, write high-quality C code for real-time and safety-critical systems, support hardware bring-up and SoC debug, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize and maintain products.

Design and ship deterministic, safety-critical classical or ML motion planners for fallback and minimal-risk maneuvers. Build planners for degraded perception and partial observability, evaluate behavior at scale using simulation and real-world data, develop metrics and analysis tools, and collaborate with perception, prediction, controls, safety, and remote assistance teams to deliver a reusable fallback platform.
