Leads sourcing strategies and category management for industrial and electronics components. Manages spend, supplier relationships, contracts, pricing, make-or-buy decisions, supplier capacity, risk mitigation, quality improvement, and supply chain development. Partners with Operations and Engineering, leads cross-functional teams, supports purchasing personnel, and drives cost, value, compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing and technology supply chains.

Leads enterprise-wide category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, negotiations, contract reviews, cost optimization, and vendor performance management for indirect spend categories including packaging and facilities. Analyzes and improves manufacturing processes, workflows, layouts, and production efficiency. Conducts time studies, process mapping, value stream analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen. Collaborates with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams; designs standardized work and equipment layouts; evaluates automation; tracks performance metrics; supports employee training; and ensures safety, environmental, and quality compliance.

Leads product engineering projects from design through implementation, provides technical guidance and shop-floor support, develops CAD drawings, bills of materials, and process sheets, coordinates approval agencies, supports manufacturing and customers, mentors engineers, drives lean and cost-reduction initiatives, and maintains documentation for ISO certification.

The Mechanical Engineering Development Program is a two-year early-career rotational program covering product design, manufacturing, additive manufacturing, continuous improvement, validation and testing, project management, and sales support. Participants rotate through Mueller locations, receive mentorship and development opportunities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to process optimization and innovation. Relocation may be required, with assistance provided. Successful participants may receive a full-time role after completing the program.

Develop and implement manufacturing process control strategies and continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. Develop and maintain embedded firmware for IoT water infrastructure products. Responsibilities include architecture input, detailed implementation, unit testing, documentation, code reviews, hardware-assisted debugging, BSP and chip-driver development, production troubleshooting, QA support, and field-release maintenance. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams, uses lab equipment and AI-assisted development tools, and participates in Agile processes.

Plans, organizes, and completes product design projects. Applies engineering practices to develop cost-effective, innovative products; works with customers to define requirements, resolve technical concerns, and communicate project status. Supports and leads project teams during new product introductions and enhancements while collaborating with Product Managers. Requires foundational engineering knowledge, project management skills, technical training, and effective written communication.

Manage sales across Central Texas for water distribution products, building relationships with distributors, municipalities, and utility districts. Responsibilities include territory growth, product training, quotations, bid support, pricing, forecasting, CRM maintenance, after-sales support, and market intelligence. The role requires extensive travel, public speaking, technical product guidance, and coordination with distributor partners. Candidates need at least two years of relevant outside sales experience, a valid driver’s license, technology proficiency, and the ability to lift over 40 pounds.

Manage small- to medium-sized leak detection and water pipeline condition assessment projects across Canada and the US. Responsibilities include project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, fieldwork, team coordination, client management, vendor oversight, safety compliance, reporting, and project closeout.
