The Senior Mechanical Designer will lead mechanical design efforts, support prototype generation, and manage design documentation while mentoring junior staff. Requires strong expertise in CAD, GD&T, and mechanical component design.

Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto, Netscaler). Configure and troubleshoot firewall policies, monitor network traffic for threats, remediate vulnerabilities, and translate customer requirements into enterprise network architectures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain security standards, and keep current with firewall and network security best practices.

Lead design and analysis of space-based RF payloads and digital receivers; manage suppliers and subcontractors; integrate ultrawideband ADCs, ASICs, and AI/ML signal processing; work across direct-sampling, heterodyne, and HF-to-mmWave receivers; collaborate with cross-functional teams. Requires active TS/SCI clearance, BS in engineering plus experience, and on-site work five days per week.

Lead and maintain production and test software for high-volume defense manufacturing. Troubleshoot factory-floor issues, optimize build/test systems, integrate with hardware, and ensure reliable verification tools supporting critical programs.

Perform CFD and thermal physics-based modeling and simulation to support design, testing, and integration of weapon systems. Develop numerical and semi-empirical models, validate with hardware testing, lead projects, mentor junior staff, and communicate results across multidisciplinary teams to inform design decisions.

Manage cross-functional defense space programs as liaison among program management, teams, and customer. Track budgets, schedules, staffing, facilities/space planning, coordinate reviews, and drive tasks to closure while maintaining effective stakeholder communication and on-site presence.

Lead a multidisciplinary team to provide RMF/IA expertise for a Navy weapon system: assess security controls, validate RMF packages, certify residual risk, advise program managers, develop policy/process, and implement MBSE/digital engineering approaches to continuously assess and mitigate system security risk.

Perform basic mechanical engineering design, analysis, testing, and product assurance for assigned project portions. Interpret specifications and drawings, develop technical documentation, run calculations and tests using engineering software, support customers to resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.

Perform structural and vibration analysis for mechanical ground support equipment and spacecraft using closed-form and finite element techniques. Support structural and vibration testing, write detailed technical reports, and collaborate across engineering teams. Maintain on-site presence and comply with site work and safety requirements.

Perform onsite troubleshooting, debugging, preventative maintenance, and testing of electronic components, subassemblies, and test stands using schematics, datasheets, and established procedures. Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to confirm equipment functionality, document rework instructions, and approve or reject results. Follow written and verbal work instructions and support production sustainment activities.
