Designs, analyzes, tests, commissions, and supports mechanical equipment, robotic cells, tooling, fixtures, guarding, and automated manufacturing systems. Creates CAD models, production drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation; performs structural, dynamic, motion, tolerance, and FMEA analyses. Leads a multidisciplinary sustaining engineering team supporting capital equipment and industrial machinery. Responsibilities include prioritizing work, resolving product and field issues, managing engineering changes, overseeing design validation, improving reliability and manufacturability, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and developing engineering processes. The role also manages documentation, configuration control, supplier and component issues, corrective actions, cost reduction, and delivery against quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

Supports installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, programming, and optimization of robotic and automation systems. Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, PLC, HMI, and software issues; programs robots and controls; performs preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis; supports new product development; trains customers and operators; documents system changes; and helps establish field service best practices. The role requires extensive customer-site work, industrial-environment experience, and travel up to 80%.
