The role also manages referrals, collaborates cross-functionally, and mentors junior underwriting staff.

Leads the Ontario commercial underwriting team, overseeing employee development, broker relationships, underwriting performance, profitability, renewals, and process improvement. The role manages KPIs, supports complex claims resolution, drives cross-selling and retention, leads change initiatives, and builds a high-performing team. Candidates need at least five years of underwriting experience, two years of people management, and a CIP or FCIP designation.
