Designs and prototypes roll-to-roll coating processes for electrophoretic displays, leads pilot-scale experiments, adapts coating equipment, characterizes results, and drives process improvement. Lead pilot-scale roll-to-roll experiments, optimize process variables, characterize films, troubleshoot defects, and demonstrate scalability to production. Provide technical leadership across engineering, R&D, manufacturing, suppliers, and external partners while documenting best practices and transferring processes into production.

Supports the design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and improvement of pilot-scale roll-to-roll coating equipment. Responsibilities include mechanical design, controls and automation upgrades, machine vision integration, equipment testing, troubleshooting, validation, documentation, and hands-on collaboration with technicians, engineers, and researchers to improve coating performance and reliability.

Develops and optimizes pigment crystallization, finishing, purification, milling, filtration, and drying processes for electrophoretic displays. Operates and troubleshoots laboratory equipment, characterizes pigments using microscopy, spectroscopy, XRD, and particle analysis, and interprets impurity and performance data. The role correlates pigment chemistry and physical properties with device performance, maintains laboratory records and procedures, collaborates with multidisciplinary R&D teams, and presents technical recommendations.

Develop and evaluate deep learning models for advanced materials discovery and electrophoretic display design. Build data-processing, training, and evaluation pipelines; lead inverse design and model-based discovery using Bayesian optimization, diffusion models, and related methods. Collaborate with scientists to integrate domain knowledge, improve model interpretability, and ensure data quality, reproducibility, and experimental lineage.

Develops, executes, troubleshoots, and optimizes laboratory and pilot-scale coating, lamination, and device-fabrication processes for electrophoretic displays. Plans experiments, analyzes process and device data, investigates variability and defects, maintains equipment, evaluates yield and quality, documents procedures, and collaborates with R&D and manufacturing teams to scale innovations toward commercialization.

Leads analytical chemistry, coating formulation, test-part integration, product characterization, reliability testing, and failure analysis for a Copper Clad Laminate R&D program. Establishes chemical-analysis methods, critical-to-function requirements, measurement-system quality, reliability test plans, and laboratory operations. Coordinates root-cause investigations, external testing, equipment commissioning, SOPs, calibration, traceability, and technical recommendations across cross-functional teams.
