The Research Manager leads Ukraine’s Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit, overseeing staff, humanitarian research cycles, assessments, data quality, timelines, budgets, grants, logistics, and security coordination. The role develops unit strategy, builds team capacity, engages humanitarian stakeholders, disseminates findings, supports fundraising, and ensures research outputs inform response planning and advocacy. The manager also contributes to country-level strategy and maintains quality, accountability, confidentiality, and compliance across multiple research initiatives.

Leads research and development for global Multi-Sector Needs Assessments, including toolkit updates, sampling guidance, quantitative analysis, multidimensional indices, cross-crisis data pipelines, workflow automation, and quality assurance. Provides technical support to country teams, reviews research outputs, contributes to training and certification, supports external stakeholder engagement, and may deploy to field locations for up to 20% of the role.

Leads internal audit, risk management, compliance, accountability, and fraud-related oversight across headquarters and country operations. Develops audit plans, conducts control and compliance reviews, tracks recommendations, maintains risk matrices, supports donor due diligence, and reports risk trends to the CEO and senior leadership. Leads cash and markets research for Sudan, overseeing the Joint Market Monitoring Initiative and related analysis. Manages research cycles, timelines, deliverables, and two Research Officers; analyzes quantitative and qualitative data; produces briefs, factsheets, and reports; represents IMPACT in cash coordination forums; advises humanitarian partners; tracks market and conflict dynamics; coordinates with HQ and research teams; and builds analytical capacity across the mission.
