Own the inbound sales cycle for SMB merchants across France and Europe, qualifying leads, managing the pipeline, converting opportunities, and guiding prospects through their first transaction. Meet performance targets while delivering a strong customer experience, developing expertise in retail, e-commerce, finance, and payments, and improving sales techniques through coaching and feedback.

Prospect and qualify SMB merchants in French and DACH markets through phone, email, and social outreach. Generate prospect lists with Growth and Marketing, implement follow-up strategies, identify merchant needs, and secure qualified appointments for Account Executives. Track activity, optimize prospecting methods, and contribute to Alma’s payment volume and merchant portfolio growth.

Lead architecture and code quality for payment plugins across six major e-commerce platforms. Establish PHP patterns, testing and linting standards, conduct code reviews, improve test coverage, harmonize cross-platform conventions, and mentor intermediate engineers. The role combines hands-on backend development, technical direction, continuous improvement, and collaboration with AI development tools. It is a permanent position based in Paris or remotely from Metropolitan France.

Own Alma’s integrations and partnerships product strategy across APIs, SDKs, CMS, PSPs, and custom integrations. Lead roadmap prioritization, discovery, and delivery of complex platform features while balancing merchant outcomes, technical quality, enterprise needs, and developer experience. Collaborate with partners and cross-functional teams, and measure adoption, integration speed, reliability, authentication quality, and transaction growth.

Design and develop Python backend APIs and payment infrastructure serving merchants and consumers across Europe. Build secure, maintainable, high-performance systems, evolve technical architecture with Product and technology leaders, and lead incident response and performance improvements. The role requires ownership of reliability at scale within a regulated fintech environment.

Manage a 30–40-person Customer Operations team focused on merchant Care and Risk operations. Directly lead nine team leads and experts, set priorities, allocate workloads, monitor performance, anticipate backlogs, coach employees, and improve processes. Coordinate with broader operations stakeholders to maintain service quality, merchant experience, and operational continuity during an eight-month maternity leave replacement contract in Lille.

Manage Alma’s Identity & Tooling team and define its identity and access management strategy. Lead RBAC design, identity lifecycle processes, provisioning and deprovisioning, access governance, application ownership, access reviews, and privileged access controls. Establish tooling standards, documentation, approval workflows, dashboards, and KPIs while coordinating with IT, Security, Engineering, People, Finance, Legal, and business teams to improve security, compliance, operational efficiency, and employee experience.

Build business-facing data models and reliable data pipelines using CRM, revenue, and operational data. Analyze markets, commercial performance, and growth drivers; create dashboards, KPIs, forecasts, and decision-support tools; and provide actionable recommendations to Revenue leaders. Promote data quality and data-informed practices across Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, and Account Management while collaborating with Data, Product, Technology, Operations, and Risk teams.

Develop sales activity in French and Spanish markets by prospecting SMB merchants, generating qualified appointments for Account Executives, implementing outreach strategies, and tracking activity to improve prospecting processes. The role involves collaborating with Growth and Marketing teams, using phone, email, social networks, and sales tools, while communicating fluently in French, Spanish, and English.
