The role requires production backend ownership, distributed workflow reasoning, media-format knowledge, and flexibility across TypeScript, Go, Rust, or Python. Deep FFmpeg, GStreamer, or codec expertise is a bonus.

Responsibilities include creating animations, micro-interactions, rendering features, editor timelines, microsites, and reusable components; optimizing browser memory and performance for large media projects; experimenting with shaders and creative techniques; improving accessibility and interface guidelines; and connecting API endpoints when needed.

Build and ship full-stack features for a browser-based video editor, spanning frontend interactions, backend services, cloud media rendering, and infrastructure. Solve challenging browser problems involving real-time editing, smooth playback, large media, performance, and reliability. Help develop AI-powered editing experiences and own features end to end in a fast-moving startup environment.
