Responsibilities include process modeling, simulations, hazards analysis, process controls, flow diagrams, material balances, plant performance monitoring, system testing, laboratory research, design verification, and technical documentation. The engineer will lead cross-disciplinary scale-up efforts from bench to pilot scale, identify research opportunities, support funding proposals, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.

Leads INL’s Tours, Hosting & Protocol organization, overseeing protocol, executive hosting, laboratory tours, and institutional events. Establishes service standards, manages staff, budgets, priorities, and resources, and coordinates high-profile visits involving government, industry, academic, Tribal Nation, and international stakeholders. Ensures visitor experiences meet safety, security, communications, and protocol requirements while driving continuous improvement, contingency planning, and cross-laboratory collaboration.
