Provides guidance and oversight for assigned Career Technical Education programs across selected high schools. Develops program-of-study implementation procedures, provides CTE course guidance and leadership, collaborates with campus coordinators and department managers, and coordinates activities designed to improve student experiences, outcomes, and established performance metrics.

Supports implementation and evaluation of a quality Magnet program by developing goals, coordinating enrichment activities, assisting with curriculum and budgeting, maintaining records, screening students, engaging families and community partners, and liaising with transportation and special education departments. The role also supports staffing decisions, teacher assessment, program funding, and coordination between Magnet and regular school instructional programs.

Designs predictive models and machine learning algorithms for student outcomes, budgeting, staffing, resource planning, equity, absenteeism, enrollment, and special education trends. Integrates enterprise and external datasets, develops simulations and executive decision-support tools, and presents insights to nontechnical stakeholders. Partners with academic, operational, and finance teams, maintains reproducible workflows and data governance, collaborates on model-ready datasets, and mentors analysts.

Designs and develops TEKS-aligned Reading Language Arts curriculum for grades 6–12, including lesson materials, assessments, slide decks, reading and writing tasks, and differentiated supports. Collaborates with instructional teams to refine materials using student data, teacher feedback, and implementation outcomes. Ensures curriculum is rigorous, coherent, actionable for teachers, and aligned with secondary literacy best practices.

Supports the Communications Department by developing communication strategies, creating content for multiple platforms, coordinating messaging across channels, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The role focuses on clear, consistent, and impactful communications aligned with organizational priorities, requiring strong writing, social media strategy, content creation, and communication skills.

Coordinates Special Education budgets, including federal grants, state allotments, Medicaid reimbursements, and local funds. Ensures expenditures are allowable, accurately coded, and compliant with regulations. Serves as fiscal compliance officer, manages position-control and staffing budgets, and prepares financial reports, expenditure summaries, and forecasts for department and district leadership. Provides project or team leadership without formal supervisory authority and recommends solutions to improve financial processes.

Develops Houston ISD science curriculum for grades 6–11 and creates job-embedded professional development materials, including teacher-guided slide decks, student activities, assessments, and differentiated assignments. Evaluates content for grade-level appropriateness and cultural relevance, collaborates in curriculum brain trust sessions, and aligns lessons and professional learning with TEKS, NES standards, and district objectives.

Performs advanced secretarial and administrative duties for department officers under limited direction. Handles routine matters independently to conserve supervisors’ time and applies thorough knowledge of departmental practices, procedures, and district policies.

Leads advanced analytics initiatives supporting strategic planning, equity, forecasting, and resource allocation. Builds predictive models, simulations, and complex analyses using student and enterprise data. Partners with senior leaders and analysts to deliver evidence-based insights that guide district policy and improve performance outcomes.

Leads school operations and instructional improvement, develops strategic plans, mentors and retains staff, ensures legal and district compliance, manages data systems and budgets, builds relationships with stakeholders, promotes student achievement and safety, and supports a high-performance teaching culture.
