Leads corporate accounting operations, financial close, consolidations, payroll, SEC reporting, audits, and external financial reporting. Ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, maintains financial systems and data governance, drives process improvements, and partners with cross-functional teams. Manages and develops accounting and reporting teams while resolving reporting issues and presenting complex financial information to senior leadership.

Oversee Granite’s General Accounting Department, including financial close, balance sheet reconciliations, reporting, impairment analysis, foreign transactions, GAAP compliance, SOX requirements, and audit support. Lead process improvements, provide technical accounting guidance, and mentor accounting managers and staff. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while delivering effective cross-functional support.

Leads the company’s Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program and internal control over financial reporting. Responsibilities include risk assessments, control design and monitoring, anti-fraud assessments, audit coordination, deficiency remediation, regulatory monitoring, training, system and M&A compliance support, process automation, and executive reporting. The role requires cross-functional leadership, strong knowledge of SOX, ICFR, COSO, GAAP, and PCAOB standards, plus extensive accounting, audit, and public-company compliance experience.
