The Chief of Staff will partner with the co-founder and leadership team to scale internal operations across a rapidly growing philanthropic organization. Responsibilities include running OKRs, KPI dashboards, operating rhythms, leadership meetings, decision-making processes, internal systems, AI-enabled tooling, communication norms, knowledge management, strategic initiatives, and occasional partner support. The role requires proactive problem-solving, strong execution, clear communication, comfort with ambiguity, and approximately seven or more years of relevant experience.

Manage a portfolio of 5–8 partner organizations across Sub‑Saharan Africa, working with leadership to diagnose constraints, coordinate funding and technical support, track performance, scope and oversee targeted projects, conduct field visits, engage ecosystem stakeholders, and feed learnings into fund strategy to enable large‑scale impact.

Lead a portfolio of 2–4 government-facing foundational learning reform opportunities in Africa. Build relationships with governments, funders, and implementers; shape funding proposals; manage funding decisions and partners; monitor performance and deliver targeted in-country support; coordinate learning across the Prevail team. Travel to support implementation and drive reforms from idea to scaled impact.

Lead and scale Prevail's Research function: set vision and strategy, manage and hire researchers, run complex quantitative and qualitative analyses, build cost-effectiveness and fund-sizing models, evaluate interventions, synthesize evidence into clear decision-ready outputs, and advise senior leaders to inform philanthropic investments.
