Litigation Associate Attorney will join Kahana Feld’s California appellate team, handling civil litigation matters, monitoring trials, and contributing to appellate work. Candidates will collaborate with experienced attorneys, participate in training and mentorship, and may pursue partnership opportunities. At least three years of civil litigation experience and California bar membership in good standing are required; appellate and insurance defense experience are preferred.

Represent clients in civil litigation as part of a nationally recognized appellate team. Responsibilities include handling appellate matters, monitoring trials, collaborating with attorneys, maintaining strong client and case service, and developing legal skills through training and mentorship. Candidates must be California-barred attorneys in good standing with at least three years of civil litigation experience; insurance defense and appellate experience are preferred.

Supports attorneys throughout litigation by preparing legal documents, managing case files, conducting legal and factual research, handling eDiscovery and filings, assisting with discovery, hearings, depositions, and trials, coordinating vendors and case meetings, processing invoices, and recording billable work. The role requires strong organization, communication, attention to detail, legal database familiarity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic filing systems.

Provide paralegal support across multiple practice groups, including administrative tasks, drafting and managing legal documents, e-filing, legal research, triage of urgent requests, coverage for absent paralegals, trial preparation and on-site trial support, workload reporting, and accurate time/billing recording.

Seek Partner-level General Liability attorney to run files, manage clients and carrier relationships, and mentor colleagues. Prepare, submit, and manage client invoices ensuring compliance with firm policies, client OCGs, and eBilling requirements. Use BillBlast and eBilling portals to monitor invoice status, resolve rejections and payment issues, communicate with attorneys, produce billing reports, maintain records, and support month-end and special projects.

Represent clients in general liability litigation at a Long Island office; collaborate with and be mentored by experienced attorneys; participate in training and professional development; manage case-related tasks and contribute to firm culture. Must be a member in good standing of the New York bar.
