The Controller oversees accounting operations, monthly close, consolidated financial reporting, fund accounting, internal controls, compliance, budgeting, audits, and grant reporting for a tribal government and related enterprises. The role supervises five accounting staff, manages intercompany transactions and distributions, ensures GAAP and GASB compliance, supports the CFO with financial analysis and presentations, and leads continuous improvement of accounting processes and policies.
