Senior executive responsible for strategic leadership and operational management of the contract surety business across a division. Oversees underwriting standards, hires and develops regional underwriting teams, approves large or exception bond requests and reinsurer submissions, partners with marketing and industry groups, monitors performance and budgets, and drives growth, retention, and succession planning.

Evaluate surety bond risks, prepare quotes, build agent and account relationships through on-site visits, pursue new business, and perform financial analysis to determine rates and underwriting decisions.

Independently investigate and adjust complex contract surety claims, manage reserves and payments, pursue salvage and indemnity, coordinate outside counsel, advise underwriters and agents, prepare reports and legal documentation, and stay current on applicable laws.
