Acts as a strategic HR advisor to business leaders, supporting workforce planning, succession, recruitment, employee relations, engagement, performance, organizational change, compliance, and HR analytics. The role provides guidance on employment law, manages complex employee relations matters, supports payroll and HR data accuracy, and contributes to an inclusive workplace. This site-based position may involve travel, overnight trips, and extended hours.

Supports people, culture, and organisational transformation initiatives through project coordination, PMO tracking, employee engagement analysis, KPI reporting, and stakeholder management. Maintains plans, milestones, risks, dashboards, and action tracking while preparing concise insights and recommendations for senior management and ExCo. Coordinates engagement surveys, departmental action plans, leadership initiatives, and integration and transformation plans across functions and sites.

Manage end-to-end monthly payroll across UK and Northern Ireland for salaried and hourly workforces. Responsibilities include timesheet reconciliation, statutory payments and deductions, HMRC filings, pensions, audits, payroll journals, expatriate payroll support, and employee queries. The role also modernizes Excel-based processes through cloud payroll automation, API-enabled workflows, and Time and Attendance integrations while mentoring payroll staff and partnering with HR, Finance, and operations.

Leads integrated external campaigns supporting major defence and maritime opportunities. Develops campaign strategies, stakeholder engagement programmes, messaging, content, events and digital activity. Coordinates agencies and cross-functional teams, monitors political and stakeholder developments, advises leaders on risks and opportunities, and tracks campaign performance. Works closely with business development, commercial and programme teams to align communications and engagement with growth, capture and bid strategies.

Oversee procurement activities across subcontracts, equipment, consumables, and services. Develop sourcing strategies, select and manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, conduct performance reviews, and support cost-saving and sustainability initiatives. Coordinate procurement with project and production schedules while ensuring compliance, timely delivery, and value. The role also requires leadership, supplier relationship management, and use of procurement and ERP systems.

Develops and manages electrical and instrumentation work packages for marine and naval vessel construction, installation, testing, and commissioning. Reviews designs and technical drawings, converts engineering information into production work instructions, supports installation teams, manages subcontractor performance, and coordinates with engineering, planning, production, supply chain, and commissioning functions. Ensures work packages include safety, quality, inspection, testing, handover, schedule, KPI, and cost-control requirements.

Provides employee relations support across unionised manufacturing sites, handling grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and union engagement. Ensures consistent application of UK employment law and company policies, delivers ER training, monitors trends, and advises senior leaders. Requires strong communication, mediation, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills, plus CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience. Candidates must complete BPSS security clearance during onboarding.

Leads operability and crewing strategy across naval ship design programs. Develops CONOPS, operational scenarios, crewing models, workload assessments, and user-centered engineering requirements. Drives crew-reduction and uncrewed concepts through automation and human-machine integration, while supporting trade studies, safety, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and operator-focused design decisions. Mentors engineers and represents the company with customers and working groups.

Develops and optimizes production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while balancing capacity, materials, labor, equipment, and inventory constraints. Uses ERP systems to manage production, materials, capacity planning, master data, BOMs, routings, and lead times. Monitors progress, adjusts plans, and coordinates with suppliers, procurement, operations, and sales to maintain material availability and delivery schedules.
