Develop and optimize production plans and schedules based on customer demand, forecasts, inventory, materials, and capacity. Lead supply chain strategy and a small team supporting defence bids and proposals. Develop sourcing, contracting, cost, delivery, and risk strategies; engage and negotiate with suppliers; assess UK and global supply chain capability; manage strategic supplier relationships; and drive category management, cost reduction, value engineering, continuous improvement, and digitalisation. Partner with engineering, operations, commercial, and legal teams to deliver competitive, compliant, and resilient supply chain solutions.

Lead the technical delivery of multiple engineering projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities include defining scopes, planning resources, estimating, managing risks, coordinating subcontractors, producing control and electrical system drawings, supporting site fault-finding, reporting progress, and driving continuous improvement. The role combines hands-on engineering across facilities, plant, equipment, cranes, docks, and operational assets with project leadership and stakeholder management.

Create 3D models and 2D drawings for naval vessels using Siemens NX, producing arrangements, P&IDs, and BOMs. Manage design data in Teamcenter PLM, collaborate across engineering disciplines on system integration, support design reviews, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and improve CAD standards, libraries, and digital workflows.

Provide on-site first-line support for PLM, CAD, SAP, and other enterprise applications in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Own incidents, requests, and problems through resolution; diagnose issues, coordinate with application specialists, document procedures, and maintain application reliability. Build relationships with engineering and production stakeholders, identify improvements, support digital transformation projects, and travel occasionally to other sites.

Supports major shipbuilding and defence programmes across project planning, controls, cost management, risk tracking, reporting, and data analysis. Maintains schedules, action logs, budgets, dashboards, performance reports, and risk registers while identifying trends and variances. The role includes rotations across Business Management Office disciplines and training in SAP, Earned Value Management, project controls, and reporting tools.

Supports production engineering for shipbuilding programs by interpreting drawings and 3D models, creating CAD layouts and technical documents, developing build strategies and construction sequences, investigating production issues, collecting manufacturing data, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role provides structured training in CAD, shipyard production processes, technical interpretation, and manufacturing methods, with opportunities to progress into professional engineering roles.

Leads cost management for complex projects, including budgets, baselines, change control, forecasting, EAC and ETC calculations, EVM analysis, reporting, cash-flow monitoring, and risk identification. Partners with project, commercial, finance, engineering, procurement, and senior stakeholders to support financial decision-making. Coaches cost-control professionals and maintains project cost frameworks, performance dashboards, and governance processes.
