Entry-level attorney responsible for prosecuting or representing the county in civil or criminal matters. Duties include legal research, drafting filings, courtroom advocacy, interviewing witnesses, managing case logistics, and coordinating with investigators and staff. May handle cases independently or under supervision and can be reassigned across office divisions.

Perform payment production and controls for county payroll and accounts payable using PeopleSoft; audit, approve, and process payments and garnishments; reconcile reports and transmit EFTs; train and support departmental staff; ensure compliance with federal, state, and county policies and union contracts; assist with system changes, testing, and special payment projects.

Lead development and execution of county-wide communications, marketing, public relations, and community engagement strategies supporting the BOCC and CEO. Advise leadership on complex issues, craft policy-related messaging, manage media relations, direct public outreach and emergency communications, oversee web and digital content, partner with policy advisors, and lead and mentor assigned staff to ensure consistent, transparent public messaging.
