Edits and updates municipal code manuscripts based on current local legislation. Responsibilities include organizing project materials, compiling editorial notes, editing word-processing files, producing drafts and camera-ready copy, proofreading for accuracy and consistency, maintaining electronic code files, and communicating with government clients to resolve codification issues and provide customer-service follow-up.

Reviews, organizes, and edits municipal legislation for publication in new and updated codes. Manages project deliverables, schedules, budgets, client communications, milestone follow-up, and issue resolution. Performs copyediting, statutory and cross-reference checks, amendment insertion, editorial and legal analysis, organizational analysis, and preparation of adopting ordinances, disposition lists, derivation tables, and supporting documents. Coordinates client decisions and provides instructions for editorial assistants.

Manage bi-weekly payroll processing and reconciliation; resolve payroll discrepancies and tax notices; prepare sales commission reports; analyze payroll, labor, and financial reports; reconcile balance sheet accounts and support period close; assist budgeting and forecasts; file sales/use tax returns and maintain regulatory registrations; support audits, system implementations, and cross-functional payroll/compliance matters.
