Serves as the first point of contact for shelter visitors and callers, providing compassionate customer service, adoption and surrender support, animal reclaim assistance, licensing and payment processing, veterinary appointment check-in, and Humane Enforcement Officer coordination. Maintains accurate animal records, handles communications and administrative tasks, supports volunteers, performs opening and closing duties, and provides limited animal handling while following safety protocols.

Provides compassionate front-line customer service at a humane society, assisting with animal surrenders, adoptions, euthanasia services, veterinary appointments, referrals, and community resources. Responsibilities include phone and email communication, data entry, appointment processing, cash transactions, reconciliation, shelter opening and closing, volunteer support, inventory, and maintaining accurate animal records. The role requires occasional minimal animal handling and collaboration with staff, volunteers, customers, and community partners.
