Prosecute and defend criminal and civil matters, gather and review evidence, advise law enforcement and county officials, draft pleadings and legal opinions, conduct legal research, present cases at hearings/trials/appeals, and maintain working relationships with judiciary and law enforcement.

Provides administrative, bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll, recordkeeping, receptionist, and public-facing support for the highway department. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, processing payments and invoices, coding general ledger entries, monitoring employee hours and leave, maintaining records and inventories, preparing reports and correspondence, tracking fuel supplies, and supporting office procedures. Serves as backup to the front desk administrative assistant.

Provide clerical, technical and paraprofessional support to legal staff: manage case files, prepare subpoenas and legal documents, maintain court calendar, notify witnesses, coordinate scheduling with courts and law enforcement, prepare exhibits, and perform general office duties and backups as assigned.
