The Chief Financial Officer leads CCLS’s finance function, overseeing a three-person team, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, grant accounting, reconciliations, controls, compliance, and risk-related matters. The CFO supports executive leadership, serves as the board’s finance liaison, manages government-funded nonprofit grant requirements, and improves financial systems and policies. The role requires extensive nonprofit finance experience, GAAP expertise, strong operational accounting skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial software.

Leads CCLS’s Re-Entry Legal Services Project, overseeing expungement, license restoration, record sealing, volunteer recruitment and training, community partnerships, client materials, program procedures, data reporting, and staff supervision. The attorney develops pro bono initiatives, supports MCLE programming, ensures quality legal services, and represents CCLS in legal-community forums. The role may be based in Fresno, Merced, Visalia, or remotely, with occasional travel for meetings and events.

Provide direct immigration legal services for victims (U/T/SIJS/VAWA/Naturalization), collaborate with advocates and community partners, conduct outreach and education, identify systemic issues and pursue impact litigation, participate in case review and planning, and maintain legal knowledge and program policies.

Provide intake and screening for incoming callers, conduct client interviews, maintain electronic case files, draft and mail correspondence, perform document retrieval and conflict checks, and support Legal Advice Line and organizational projects under attorney supervision.

Represent low-income clients in affirmative and impact civil litigation from intake through resolution. Manage discovery, depositions, motions, settlement negotiations, community outreach, and collaborate with teams to identify systemic issues and shape impact litigation strategies.

Provide legal representation to low-income seniors and dependent adults in estate planning, public benefits, and consumer matters; initiate and defend litigation; conduct outreach, workshops, and community partnerships; maintain grant records and reports; provide services at satellite office and attend trainings.

Provide high-quality legal information, advice, intake, eligibility screening, conflict checks, file management, referrals, and legal research for a nonprofit Legal Advice Line covering housing, immigration, public benefits, health, consumer, elder, family, and estate issues.
