Lead design, development, testing, and certification of high-voltage, high-power permanent magnet motors for a hybrid-electric regional aircraft. Interface with mechanical, thermal, power electronics, airframe, and battery teams; perform topology trade studies, create 2D/3D CAD models, run system-level motor and propeller tests, and collaborate with suppliers for certified subsystem delivery.

Support structural analysis and development of composite and metallic aircraft components using classical methods and FEA (Nastran, Abaqus, ANSYS). Build and modify FEA models, perform static/dynamic/fatigue analyses, validate with hand calculations and testing, collaborate on sizing and weight optimization, investigate structural issues, and document results.

Design, implement, test, and maintain safety-critical embedded flight software. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to build controllers, simulation tools, CI/CD pipelines, and test infrastructures. Mentor junior engineers and apply functional safety processes to support aircraft certification and deployment.

Lead mechanical and electrical integration of propulsion, battery, avionics, and structural subsystems. Define interfaces, build sequences, and assembly processes. Provide hands-on build-floor support, troubleshoot integration issues, create work instructions, and drive design-for-manufacture improvements from prototype through production to meet quality and certification requirements.
