Tenure-track Assistant Professor expected to develop an internationally recognized research program, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, advise students, pursue external funding, publish scholarship, and provide service to the department, university, profession, and community. Participate in curriculum development and potentially supervise student employees.

Lead academic coordinator for football student‑athletes overseeing academic risk evaluation, individualized academic and graduation plans, study hall oversight, and staff coordination. Serve as primary liaison for football logistics, reports, recruit visit coordination, onboarding, and monitor compliance with NCAA, conference, and university requirements.

Lead and supervise field forestry programs to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest resilience. Manage projects, budgets, grants, contracts, and teams; provide technical silvicultural guidance; coordinate partners and interagency agreements; conduct outreach and represent CSFS. Work is field and office based with periodic travel and irregular hours.

Maintain and enhance statewide GIS data pipelines, support external partnerships, provide GIS helpdesk and technical assistance, lead training on data use and mobile data collection, and develop QA/QC and metadata standards to ensure consistent geospatial data management and accessibility.

Lead planning and delivery of forestry programs to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest resilience. Supervise staff and interns, manage budgets/grants/contracts, provide silvicultural technical guidance, develop partnerships, coordinate across field offices, and support field operations including MPB response and stewardship projects.

Lead and manage a scholar success program combining high-touch advising for first-generation/low-income students with operational oversight of scholarships, donor stewardship, events, compliance, and partnership coordination to improve student retention, persistence, and graduation outcomes.
