Leads the College’s learning support and SEND provision, ensuring compliance with legislation, appropriate funding, and effective support for learners with additional needs. Manages specialist support teams, oversees assessments and EHCP processes, develops inclusive teaching practices, delivers staff CPD, monitors learner support and outcomes, and maintains relationships with parents, local authorities, agencies, and internal teams. The role also contributes to safeguarding, quality improvement, reporting, and disability-inclusive culture development.

Supports learners across theory, practical, and workplace sessions by assisting with learning activities, assessments, interventions, literacy and numeracy development, technology-based learning, and progress feedback. The role also involves maintaining learner records, supporting transition activities, safeguarding, health and safety, GDPR compliance, and liaising professionally with staff, learners, and stakeholders. This is a full-time Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship in a further education environment.

Processes invoices, staff and student expense claims, sundry payments, cash reconciliations, and creditor payments. Maintains accurate financial records, resolves invoice queries, reconciles unmatched transactions and goods-received reports, and supports audit requirements. The role liaises with budget holders and internal stakeholders, provides finance-related awareness training, produces management information, maintains work instructions, and delivers responsive customer service within the Procurement and Transaction Team.

Supports teaching staff in planning and delivering lessons, supervising and motivating students, managing classroom environments, monitoring attendance and progress, assisting with marking and assessment, and providing resources for independent learning. The role also involves communicating with students, parents, carers, and colleagues; supporting enrichment activities; addressing learners’ Digital, English, and Maths development needs; maintaining student welfare and policy compliance; and participating in professional development.

Deliver fair, consistent AM2/AM2S/AM2E assessments at the Liverpool AM2 Centre, maintain NET standards and centre operations, manage assessment administration, quality assurance, H&S, employer relationships, and contribute to centre targets, development and continuous improvement.
