The role supports PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, robots, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, fault analysis, equipment launches, controls architecture, and reliability improvements. It also mentors technicians, leads Six Sigma initiatives, collaborates with IT and manufacturing engineering, supports multiple shifts, and may require domestic and international travel.

Designs and secures embedded firmware for battery management and monitoring systems used in grid-scale energy storage. Responsibilities include C/C++ development, secure boot and cryptographic implementations, cybersecurity architecture and threat assessments, communication stacks, secure OTA updates, battery control algorithms, intrusion detection, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. The role collaborates with safety, controls, suppliers, and executive stakeholders while supporting vulnerability remediation, audits, and compliance reviews.

Build and lead Ford Energy’s B2B marketing function for grid-scale and commercial battery energy storage systems. Develop technical product positioning, sales collateral, demand-generation campaigns, industry events, digital channels, and performance metrics. Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts for commercial energy buyers while partnering with engineering, product, sales, communications, suppliers, and external stakeholders. The role is based four days per week in Dearborn, Michigan, with potential to grow into a leadership position.
