Own and improve IT compliance controls for hardware and software licensing across a hybrid IT environment. Provide expert guidance on audits, governance, remediation, and licence lifecycle management. Use ITSM/asset management tools to monitor usage, improve data quality, support renewals and cost optimisation, and collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, procurement, finance and suppliers to embed compliance practices and automation where possible.

Lead commercial strategy and delivery across Integrated Project Teams for the STEP fusion programme. Responsibilities include procurement and contracting strategy, negotiation of complex agreements, cost management, forecasting, change control, contract administration, risk and dispute management, stakeholder engagement with government and contractors, and coaching commercial teams. Acts as senior commercial authority shaping programme-wide commercial models and ensuring value for money throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead development and governance of an integrated master schedule (L0-L4) for a complex engineering programme. Provide strategic schedule insight, scenario modelling, EVM and Monte Carlo risk analysis, WBS and resource-loading oversight, mentor planners, drive recovery planning, and liaise with senior stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, budget, and safely.

Lead end-to-end commercial and procurement activities for complex ICT and research projects, ensuring compliance with public procurement law. Develop procurement strategies, manage tendering, contract negotiation and supplier performance, advise senior stakeholders, mentor commercial team members, and improve procurement processes to deliver value for money and project objectives.

Provide financial planning, analysis, reporting and costing for projects. Support month-end accounts, budgeting and forecasting, capital expenditure reporting, customer reports, audits, and maintain strong financial controls and reconciliations.

Lead development and delivery of UKAEA's equality, diversity, inclusion and wellbeing strategies. Translate priorities into measurable programmes, advise senior leaders, develop policies and governance, use data to drive improvement, lead Equality Impact Assessments and employee networks, partner across the business, and manage and develop the EDI & Wellbeing team.

Lead multidisciplinary R&D projects to develop magnet technologies for fusion. Provide technical leadership, design and deliver test rigs, run complex experiments in extreme environments, manage project delivery (risk, schedule, budget, suppliers), and mentor colleagues while ensuring compliance, safety, and stakeholder collaboration.
