Leads KIPP NYC’s complex, multi-entity payroll function, overseeing payroll operations, compliance, internal controls, UKG systems, vendors, employee service, and process improvement. Manages and develops a payroll team while partnering with Finance, People Operations, FP&A, Accounting, school leaders, and external providers. Ensures accurate, timely, compliant payroll processing, strengthens data integrity, resolves systemic issues, and supports payroll accounting, budgeting, audits, and organizational growth.

Processes and validates purchase order-backed invoices, performs general ledger coding and system matching, monitors approvals and payments, maintains transaction documentation, and supports vendor and internal inquiries. Uses Coupa, Sage Intacct, and related systems to troubleshoot issues, reconcile discrepancies, and improve accounts payable workflows. Collaborates with Accounting, Purchasing, and Technology teams in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.

Leads KIPP NYC’s individual giving strategy by managing a portfolio of 75–100 donors and family foundation prospects, securing major gifts, developing cultivation and stewardship strategies, and building donor engagement experiences. Partners with executives, board members, school teams, and development staff to grow the fundraising pipeline. Oversees donor data, CRM accuracy, forecasting, reporting, portfolio performance, events, proposals, and long-term philanthropic relationships.

The Manager, Staff Accountant supports general ledger operations, journal entries, account reconciliations, monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, audit preparation, and GAAP compliance. The role investigates discrepancies, maintains accurate financial documentation, partners with Finance and school-based teams, and contributes to process and system improvements. This hybrid position is based in Midtown Manhattan and includes travel to KIPP NYC campuses.

Leads KIPP NYC’s HR technology ecosystem, including HCM strategy, configuration, integrations, data governance, payroll controls, reporting, and system optimization. Oversees cross-functional implementations, process improvements, vendor relationships, project governance, change management, and employee service delivery. Partners with People, Payroll, Finance, IT, and school teams to ensure accurate, secure, compliant, and scalable employee lifecycle operations while translating workforce data into actionable organizational insights.

Manage KIPP NYC’s full-cycle accounts payable operations, including invoices, reimbursements, vendor records, payment runs, controls, compliance, audits, reporting, and close support. Lead process improvements, systems initiatives, vendor relationships, and team development while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial services across schools and regional teams.

Builds assessment trackers, progress monitoring tools, dashboards, workflows, and reporting structures; coaches school leadership teams on data-driven instructional routines; monitors implementation quality and consistency; identifies system gaps; and partners with academic leaders to improve usability, execution, teaching quality, and student outcomes.

Builds assessment trackers, progress-monitoring tools, dashboards, workflows, and reporting structures; coaches school leadership teams on data-driven instructional routines; monitors implementation quality and consistency; identifies system gaps; and partners with senior instructional leaders to refine processes that improve teaching and student outcomes.
