Perform AI/ML research to develop, train, test, optimize, and deploy models for laser performance prediction, optimization, and anomaly detection on NIF. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams, validate ML against physics models and experiments, integrate tools into workflows, publish results, and support team adoption of scientific ML techniques.

The Cryogenic Operations Gas Process Engineer will manage vacuum and cryogenic processes, optimize gas inventory management, and provide technical direction for operations, ensuring safety and compliance.

Establish priorities, manage configuration and change control, develop integrated schedules, track milestones and budgets, resolve complex execution issues, and coordinate across engineering, operations, fabrication, and partner organizations to ensure campaign success.

The Subcontract Analyst will manage the solicitation, negotiation, and administration of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and regulations, and solving complex subcontract-related issues.

The role involves developing HPC algorithms for optimal design, collaborating on simulation tasks, and conducting independent research, requiring a PhD and advanced programming skills.

Lead and execute highly complex mechanical or electrical engineering design solutions for NIF. Translate requirements into detailed 3D CAD models, perform FEA and hand calculations, manage PLM data, lead projects and teams, author technical documentation, and present designs in formal reviews while mentoring junior staff.
