Lead backend architecture and technical initiatives while partnering with product, ML, research, inference, and consumer teams.

Design and build integrations between Cavalry, Canva, and other professional applications. Own authentication and secure connections to Canva services, maintain application-side data and analytics systems, and contribute to Cavalry’s C++ core application. The role requires improving complex systems, writing high-quality code, and supporting a real-time creative application used by motion designers.

Owns end-to-end developer tooling and infrastructure solutions for large-scale engineering teams. Builds self-service platforms, CLIs, automation, CI/CD systems, build and test infrastructure, release tooling, monitoring, and developer workflows for Python and Java engineers. Partners with backend, platform, and infrastructure teams, uses telemetry to prioritize improvements, and contributes through documentation, technical talks, and mentorship.

Lead Canva’s AI technology partnership strategy and senior relationships with major AI and platform companies. Own engagements from strategy and negotiation through launch, integration, and scale. Collaborate across product, engineering, design, marketing, legal, sales, and operations to deliver product and go-to-market outcomes. Analyze partner performance, identify monetization and growth opportunities, shape Canva’s extensibility platforms, and drive adoption, revenue, and customer-segment penetration.

Leads creative direction and locally relevant content execution for Canva’s South Korean market. Responsibilities include translating country strategy into campaigns, overseeing design kits and templates, managing freelancers and creators, ensuring cultural relevance and brand quality, analyzing content performance, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, monitoring competitors, and reporting campaign results. The role also drives AI adoption, supports editorial strategy, and fosters a high-performing regional creative culture.

Build and maintain frontend performance monitoring SDKs, dashboards, CI/PR checks, data pipelines, and developer tools. Use OpenTelemetry and real-user data to identify performance regressions, statistically evaluate changes, and improve web performance at scale. Partner with platform and infrastructure teams, investigate bottlenecks with profiling tools, and communicate findings to technical and executive stakeholders while guiding engineering practices.

Build Android development tooling, device orchestration, CLI tools, mobile test automation frameworks, and CI/CD quality gates. Collaborate with infrastructure and developer experience teams to unify mobile workflows, improve testing practices, establish triage and monitoring systems, and mentor engineers. The role focuses on mobile platform reliability, scalable developer experience, synthetic and integration testing, and proactive regression detection across Android development.
