The role also involves experimenting with AI and modern motion tools, adapting creative to Spanish audiences, and collaborating with strategists, marketers, and country teams.

Leads creative direction and production of culturally relevant German-market content across templates and design elements. Translates country strategy into campaigns, manages freelance designers and creators, oversees quality and brand alignment, analyzes performance, and collaborates with Marketing, SEO, Content Strategy, Product, and country leadership. Own the full enterprise sales cycle, from outbound prospecting and account planning through negotiation and close. Generate pipeline, manage forecasts, develop strategic customer relationships, navigate complex buying groups, and present Canva’s SaaS solutions to senior stakeholders. Translate customer challenges into compelling business solutions while collaborating with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams to grow enterprise partnerships.

Lead the technical direction and implementation of Canva’s cross-platform mobile platform across React Native, iOS, Android, and web. The role involves evolving a mature architecture, migrating live products at scale, shipping production platform foundations, improving performance and reliability, and guiding Staff and Senior engineers. The Principal Engineer will influence adoption across major product teams and shape mobile architecture for Canva’s broader engineering organization.
