As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at GovWell, you will build and improve government services through full-stack development, collaborating closely with your team.

Own end-to-end data migrations from messy legacy municipal systems into GovWell: map and ingest data, validate and reconcile with SQL/Python, lead technical onboarding calls with government staff, ensure production data quality, and iterate on tools and playbooks with Product and Engineering.

Build and scale GovWell's native mobile apps for iOS and Android, focusing on offline reliability, performance, and simple resident and staff workflows. Define mobile standards, own ambiguous product decisions, and evolve features as the product grows.

Design and build GovWell's payments and ledger infrastructure: create a fully auditable, mathematically consistent ledger, precise fee-calculation system, and robust handling for partial payments, deposits, refunds, and payment processor integrations. Own migration from legacy payments to the new system, partner with finance and municipal staff, and set technical standards for the platform.

Own full-cycle sales to U.S. cities and counties, close $20-50K ACV deals, run discovery and product demos, manage multi-stakeholder public-sector sales, travel up to 25%, and collaborate with leadership, product, and customer teams to improve sales processes and customer outcomes.

The Business Development Manager will drive customer acquisition by engaging government prospects through various communication channels, develop outreach strategies, and contribute to company culture in a startup setting.
