Performs accounts receivable and credit and collections functions, including posting cash receipts, reconciling payment transactions, preparing bank deposits, processing payments in AS400 and OPEX systems, correcting misapplied payments, handling EFT requests, investigating returned mail, and supporting internal control reviews.

Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderately complex commercial general liability claims across Southern jurisdictions. Analyze coverage, draft coverage position letters, manage litigated and non-litigated files, oversee defense, control expenses, and settle claims within assigned authority. Attend mediations, trials, and hearings as needed while interpreting laws and claim practices. Work independently, consult supervisors on complex matters, and mentor less experienced team members.

Conduct quality assurance reviews of Commercial General Liability and Errors and Omissions claims files. Analyze claim-handling trends, prepare leadership reports with improvement recommendations, lead calibration sessions, communicate findings, coach associates, and support training for claims leadership and frontline staff. Ensure adherence to claims procedures, coverage requirements, legal and regulatory standards, and settlement practices while collaborating with regional and line-of-business leaders.

Leads Commercial Lines sales strategy, growth, and profitability for the Southwest Region. Oversees, develops, and coaches staff; manages agent and customer relationships; sets territory objectives; evaluates market and competitor trends; coordinates distribution channels, marketing representatives, training, credit, and collections; and collaborates with company stakeholders to achieve business and customer experience goals.

Participate in a structured summer insurance internship with mentorship, department exposure, project leadership, and senior leadership presentations. Interns may support underwriting, claims, product and analytics, information technology, or marketing and communications.
