Provide transactional marine and projects legal advice across ship lifecycle matters including shipbuilding, sale and purchase, financing, charters and bespoke contracts; manage a varied caseload, liaise with corporate and litigation teams and international offices, and draft and negotiate industry-standard and bespoke maritime agreements.

Handle a 10–20 matter caseload in litigation: investigate claims, draft/respond to discovery, conduct legal research (Westlaw), take/defend depositions, draft pleadings and motions, attend hearings, prepare for and participate in mediation/trial, and report to clients.

Provide insurance coverage litigation support: draft pleadings, briefs, and discovery; analyze policies and draft coverage opinions; conduct legal research using Westlaw/LexisNexis; prepare filings and correspondence; review documents; attend depositions, hearings, and mediations; manage sensitive and time‑sensitive matters while prioritizing multiple projects.

Manage and litigate multi-track motor injury claims for insurer clients, handle own caseload, draft pleadings, prepare instructions to counsel and experts, meet clients professionally, supervise and develop a team of Case Handlers, drive performance improvements, and provide pastoral and wellbeing support.

Provide administrative support for trademark, patent and design prosecution: prepare application forms and routine correspondence, manage translations, maintain originals and database records, monitor deadlines, liaise with case handlers and patent offices, ensure work quality, and cover team absences.

Represent insurers in insurance coverage litigation: analyze policies, draft coverage opinions and recommendations, conduct legal research, prepare pleadings and discovery, review documents, and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.

Manage a defendant motor/RTA litigation caseload (c.70 files), handling procedural steps from issue to trial, drafting pleadings, valuing PI claims, negotiating settlements, preparing witness statements, liaising with counsel and stakeholders, meeting SLAs, and using a case management system.
