Senior Associate to join Perth insurance litigation team handling commercial litigation, regulatory and investigations matters. Heavily involved in all aspects of matters, contributing to outcomes, developing professional skills, and assisting partners in building client relationships.

Defend public and private entities in employment, personal injury, commercial, and class-action litigation. Manage a 10–20 matter caseload, conduct investigations, draft and respond to discovery, take and defend depositions, prepare and argue motions, draft pre-trial and trial documents, and prepare for and participate in mediation/trial. Conduct legal research using Westlaw and maintain professional client and opposing counsel communications.

Represent insurers in insurance coverage litigation: analyze policies, draft coverage opinions and recommendations, conduct legal research, prepare pleadings and discovery, review documents, and attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.

Defend complex product liability and commercial disputes for policyholders and insurers. Responsibilities include depositions, hearings, mediations, drafting pleadings and discovery, legal research, document review, and court filings.

Manage a defendant motor/RTA litigation caseload (c.70 files), handling procedural steps from issue to trial, drafting pleadings, valuing PI claims, negotiating settlements, preparing witness statements, liaising with counsel and stakeholders, meeting SLAs, and using a case management system.

Defend high-exposure insurance litigation including trials, depositions, motions, discovery, and trial monitoring. Manage a 25–30 matter caseload, perform legal research, draft pleadings, evaluate coverage issues, investigate claims, communicate with insurer clients, and prepare and participate in mediations and trials.

Handle 10–20 litigation matters focused on general, product, premises liability and catastrophic injury: investigate claims, manage discovery, take/defend depositions, draft pleadings and pre-trial documents, argue motions, prepare for and participate in mediation/trial, and report to clients.

Support a litigation team of three or more lawyers by preparing litigation documents, managing deadlines and calendars, organizing and maintaining client files, handling communications, coordinating meetings, and preparing materials for hearings. Requires bilingual (French/English) communication and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Senior lawyer role managing complex, high-value professional indemnity claims for insurers and insureds. Provide coverage advice, litigation strategy, settlement, client relationship management, supervise junior lawyers, and support business development and practice growth.

Perform conflicts and compliance checks for lateral hires across North America: run searches in Intapp Open, analyze results, liaise with HR and Risk, create ethical walls, support onboarding, and conduct AML due diligence and client risk assessments.
