Responsibilities include validating red-team findings, assigning severity, hardening services, implementing WAF and rate-limiting defenses, creating automated security configuration checks, expanding pull-request security gates, reviewing architectures, managing attack-surface coverage, and evaluating security tools. Own Rain’s 0-to-1 Agent Control Layer for safe agentic payments. Define agent authority controls, scoped virtual cards, APIs, SDKs, documentation, onboarding, and developer tooling. Build the roadmap, work with design partners, and partner with risk, compliance, card networks, and payment providers on identity, delegated authority, auditability, and disputes. The role requires strong technical product management, payments or fintech fluency, excellent writing, and comfort operating in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving market.

Own Rain’s compliance product strategy and roadmap across KYC/KYB, sanctions, transaction monitoring, regulatory readiness, card-network obligations, case management, and partner compliance tooling. Translate complex global regulations into precise product requirements, improve compliance metrics and workflows, support multi-jurisdiction launches, and partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Engineering, banks, networks, and enterprise customers.

Own end-to-end launches of Rain’s local financial products across global markets. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional 100-day launch plans, managing legal and regulatory processes, defining operationalization strategies, resolving blockers, identifying licensing gaps, hiring and coaching local teams, and improving the market-launch playbook. The role requires extensive international travel, autonomy, strong communication, business and technical judgment, and experience delivering complex projects in consulting, private equity operations, regulated fintech, or payments.

Lead and expand Rain's global financial ecosystem partnerships: source and negotiate strategic bank, payments, treasury, and infrastructure relationships; manage cross-functional implementations; influence product and expansion strategy; mitigate partner risks and improve infrastructure resilience.

Manage AWS and GCP cloud environments, scale infrastructure globally, shape technical architecture, and build reliable CI/CD pipelines. Automate security and compliance controls, improve infrastructure performance, and develop systems interacting with smart contracts across multiple blockchains. The role requires Terraform, shell scripting, GitHub Actions, Docker, production cloud operations, and observability experience, with Kubernetes, networking, and fintech compliance knowledge preferred.

Design and own secure, scalable wallet infrastructure for custody, key management, transaction signing, authorization, recovery, and multichain systems. Architect support for MPC, HSMs, secure enclaves, TEEs, smart contract wallets, account abstraction, and emerging cryptographic approaches. Define security boundaries, policy engines, secrets management, authentication, and programmable authorization while making foundational build-versus-buy decisions and guiding systems from first principles through production.

Lead the technical strategy, architecture, quality, reliability, security, and scalability of Rain’s approximately 50-person engineering organization. Oversee critical payment, wallet, ledger, settlement, and partner-integration systems; establish engineering standards, SLOs, incident practices, and developer tooling; review high-impact designs; and develop engineering managers and technical leads. Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, leadership, board members, banking partners, and customers while planning for significant transaction-volume growth.

Provide legal advice on U.S. and EU payments regulation, support licensing and MTL applications, draft and negotiate commercial and cardholder agreements, manage outside counsel, respond to regulators and audits, and shape internal strategy on payments and crypto compliance.
