Lead a small, highly technical engineering team building software infrastructure for an automated wet lab. The Founders Associate will build operational systems for scaling an AI-driven automated lab, handling finance, customer operations, hiring, and logistics.

Build and own orchestration features in LabOS that schedule and execute experiments, convert hardware into API-controllable devices, create interfaces and APIs for real-time lab visibility, develop AI agents and tooling to automate protocol design and troubleshooting, and design scheduling systems coordinating many instruments.

Build backend systems and data pipelines to process large-scale protein characterization data, design APIs to integrate lab instruments and robotics, and collaborate with scientists and automation engineers to turn molecular biology workflows into reliable, scalable software for automated wet-lab execution.

Own reliability for a complex software+hardware automated lab: build observability, define SLOs, automate toil, harden data pipelines, run incident response, improve deploy safety, and partner with software and lab teams to keep 24/7 experiments running reliably.

First finance hire responsible for building an AI-powered, automated finance stack: forecasting, margins, pricing, close across two entities, cash and treasury, tax/VAT/compliance, investor reporting, equipment leasing, and automation. Hands-on role requiring modeling tied to lab operations, programmatic close and API-driven tooling, and collaboration with procurement and commercial teams.

Own end-to-end hiring and build a talent function in Lausanne: define roles, run sourcing and assessment, manage work trials, hire and lead recruiters, optimize ATS (Ashby), and partner with science, automation, and engineering teams to scale hiring.
