Lead a small, highly technical engineering team building software infrastructure for an automated wet lab. Own the roadmap and technical architecture across frontend, backend, data pipelines, and lab-hardware integration. Remain hands-on shipping high-leverage code, hire and grow engineers, set engineering standards, and embed AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and reliability of production experiments.

Embed with customers to integrate Adaptyv's lab API into their protein-design pipelines, build SDKs and services, automate experiment submission and result ingestion, prototype then productionize integrations, and feed field learnings back to product and engineering.

Build and own orchestration features in LabOS that schedule and execute experiments, convert hardware into API-controllable devices, create interfaces and APIs for real-time lab visibility, develop AI agents and tooling to automate protocol design and troubleshooting, and design scheduling systems coordinating many instruments.

Build backend systems and data pipelines to process large-scale protein characterization data, design APIs to integrate lab instruments and robotics, and collaborate with scientists and automation engineers to turn molecular biology workflows into reliable, scalable software for automated wet-lab execution.

The Head of QC & Analytics will ensure data integrity and quality control for protein assays, automate data pipelines, and improve analytics processes. Responsibilities include defining quality standards, collaborating with software teams, and leading investigations on assay discrepancies.
