Supports mechanical R&D by creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, developing component designs from scientific concepts, verifying manufacturability, managing procurement, and assisting with prototyping through 3D printing and small-scale CNC machining. Works collaboratively with senior engineers while taking ownership of assigned projects.

Designs RF and electromechanical components for 3D quantum processors, including PCBs, chip layouts, package-to-chip interconnects, and microwave systems. Responsibilities include RF simulation, impedance matching, insertion-loss and crosstalk analysis, RF testing with VNAs, CAD design, Python-based design automation, and automated design-rule checks. The role requires collaboration with simulation teams to validate and improve designs for high-density quantum hardware packaging.

Owns 8–10 recruiting roles end to end across technical and non-technical teams. Partners with hiring managers on job specifications, sourcing, interviews, and candidate scheduling; manages candidate communication and experience; maintains ATS data, identifies pipeline bottlenecks, and supports recruitment events and employer branding.

Leads the integration and transfer of new semiconductor and quantum hardware processes from R&D into manufacturing. Develops process flows, specifications, control strategies, qualification plans, and documentation; investigates yield losses and technical anomalies; and drives data-based process improvements. Partners with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Product, and Quality teams to establish scalable processes, implement equipment and MES capabilities, support change and review boards, and mentor junior engineers.

Operate, maintain, and upgrade cryogenic measurement infrastructure for quantum processor R&D. Develop Python-based measurement, instrumentation-control, and automation routines; characterize superconducting-qubit prototypes; analyze performance data; conduct reliability studies; troubleshoot with design, fabrication, and measurement teams; and standardize documentation, data pipelines, and technical reporting.

Design and simulate Josephson travelling-wave parametric amplifiers (TWPAs), translate product specs into on‑chip TWPA architectures, improve bandwidth and noise performance, integrate peripheral functions, and present technical findings to influence product roadmap.

The Quantum Design Engineer will develop quantum chip design tools, manage design projects, and support Foundry customers in chip design, focusing on RF engineering and collaboration with fabrication teams.

The Quantum Design Engineer will design and optimize superconducting quantum processors and circuits, collaborating closely with teams to enhance performance and scalability.

Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performing sales organization focused on long, complex government and research sales cycles.
