Responsibilities include design-for-excellence guidance, optical assembly and alignment methods, tooling and fixtures, metrology and inspection, MES documentation, production flow, root-cause analysis, environmental test support, cleanroom operations, and integration of electro-optical hardware. The role partners with optical designers, technicians, and manufacturing engineers to transition prototypes into high-rate flight-hardware production.

Owns and drives integrated master schedules for satellite programs from concept through launch and on-orbit operations. The role coordinates engineering, manufacturing, operations, software, infrastructure, and launch stakeholders; tracks milestones and dependencies; performs critical-path and what-if analysis; develops schedule tools and reports; identifies risks; and provides data-driven updates and recommendations to leadership and customers.

Develop and validate optical payloads for spacecraft, including telescopes, fiber-optic systems, photonic assemblies, and focal-plane instruments. Responsibilities include optical modeling, tolerance analysis, test-system development, alignment, calibration, experiments, manufacturing-process qualification, environmental testing, payload integration, and on-orbit commissioning. The engineer will troubleshoot hardware, analyze performance data, document technical results, and support the full lifecycle from concept through flight operations.

Develop and implement manufacturing methods, tooling, build flows, and production processes for large satellite structures, avionics, harnesses, mechanisms, and electromechanical assemblies.
