Lead full-lifecycle recruiting for engineering, manufacturing, and specialized technical teams. Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to define hiring strategies, role requirements, interview plans, and selection criteria. Source and close passive candidates in competitive markets, improve recruiting funnels and equitable interview processes, implement recruiting tools, track market data, and deliver a high-quality candidate experience while managing multiple searches in a fast-paced, fully onsite startup environment.

Create technical illustrations, exploded views, assembly sequences, work instructions, installation guides, 3D models, and 2D drawings for mechanical and electromechanical assemblies. Apply GD&T, BOMs, manufacturing processes, finishes, and regulatory requirements. Support prototype builds, machining, fabrication, weldments, pressure vessel documentation, inspections, deviations, and corrective actions while collaborating with engineers, machinists, and technicians.

Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS and Azure infrastructure; administer Kubernetes clusters; develop CI/CD pipelines; manage GitHub Enterprise and Terraform; implement observability, security, and GitOps practices; troubleshoot production systems; support incident response and on-call operations; and document infrastructure and procedures.

Own the architecture and development of Valar Atomics’ software platform spanning reactor telemetry, streaming, simulation, enterprise systems, and full-stack tools. Build high-volume time-series ingestion and event-driven systems, support scientific computing platforms, integrate PLM, ERP, MES, and records systems, and establish deployment, observability, testing, and quality practices for a regulated environment. Set technical direction, lead reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, licensing, supply chain, and operations teams.

Designs, implements, and maintains enterprise network security infrastructure, with emphasis on Palo Alto firewalls, GlobalProtect VPN, hybrid Azure/AWS connectivity, routing, switching, and 802.1X certificate-based access control. Secures wired, wireless, camera, and IoT devices using TLS/PKI authentication; troubleshoots firewall, VPN, wireless, and network issues; manages VLAN segmentation and Ruckus switching; and may support Prisma and CASB initiatives.

Build and operate full-stack software, infrastructure, and internal engineering tools supporting reactor design, fuel manufacturing, licensing, and plant operations. Integrate PLM, ERP, MES, and records systems; develop web interfaces; maintain traceability and data quality; and own deployment, observability, CI/CD, and on-call operations. Diagnose issues across the technology stack, use AI coding tools responsibly, lead technical direction and reviews, and mentor engineers. The role requires collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and operations.

Develop and manage indirect sourcing strategies across CAPEX, IT, and professional services. Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost modeling, supplier agreements, renewals, SLAs, and vendor performance management. Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to improve sourcing policies, efficiency, scalability, and risk mitigation. Track market trends, identify savings opportunities, and present sourcing strategies and results to executive leadership.

Lead strategy, architecture, and governance for supply chain systems (ERP/MRP/WMS/TMS/PLM). Define data governance, controls, reporting, and integrations; lead implementations, change management, and a lean team to ensure scalability, compliance, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Lead and build a lean strategic sourcing team to set supplier strategy, drive total cost of ownership reductions through should-cost modeling and negotiations, create strategic supplier agreements, partner cross-functionally to scale processes, present results to executives, and identify/mitigate supply-base risks.

Perform rotordynamic analyses of turbomachinery rotating groups to ensure acceptable margins; define seal clearances with seal engineers; establish balancing requirements and procedures; influence manufacturable, high-efficiency design decisions and collaborate cross-functionally on power conversion systems.
