The Manufacturing Engineer, NPI supports the transition of designs into production, develops processes, and spends time on the production floor solving real-time problems. Responsibilities include DFM/DFA analysis, developing work instructions, designing fixtures, and supporting First Article Inspections, among other duties to enhance production efficiency.

Lead electrical design, integration, testing, and certification of Electronic Safe-and-Arm (ESAD/ESAF) and firing-set electronics for tactical sUAS. Responsibilities include schematic/PCB design, energy storage and charge/fire circuitry, arming logic, EMI/EMC and HERO analysis, test campaign planning (bench, environmental, flight), ICDs, and supporting Fuze Safety Review Board qualification and DoD compliance.

Lead design and development of a novel metal manufacturing capability from concept through production. Define processes, parameters, and quality criteria for additive and subtractive workflows, oversee post-processing and inspection, drive new product development and sustaining engineering, and provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and software interfaces.

Own configuration management for modular aircraft platforms, including engineering change control, baselines, product variants, BOMs, revisions, effectivity, serialization, and as-built records. Administer PLM and CAD data systems, chair the Change Control Board, analyze inventory dispositions, control additive-manufacturing configuration items, and support production, supply chain, quality, payload integration, and customer technical deliverables. Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and DoD requirements while improving change-process performance.

The Supply Chain Manager will build and lead end-to-end supply chain operations from prototyping through full-rate production. Responsibilities include supplier identification and qualification, strategic sourcing, procurement, inventory planning, forecasting, logistics, supplier performance management, compliance, audits, risk mitigation, negotiations, and process improvement. The role partners with engineering, manufacturing, product, finance, legal, and business development teams, while supporting NPI, production scale-up, and a resilient U.S. supplier base.

Lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and operations from prototyping through full-rate production. Build supplier networks, manage sourcing and procurement, oversee planning, forecasting, inventory, logistics, compliance, audits, and supplier performance. Partner with engineering, manufacturing, product, finance, legal, and business development teams on NPI, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and production scale-up. The role is onsite in San Diego and includes up to 40% travel.

Lead build and release engineering: design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate reproducible builds and artifact management, integrate security/quality gates, optimize build performance, manage container images and registries, provision build environments with IaC, and produce audit/compliance evidence and runbooks.

Lead and grow the mechanical engineering team for sUAS airframes, structures, mechanisms, and integration hardware. Own technical direction, design standards, change control, and configuration management. Drive producibility from concept through qualification into production, represent ME in cross‑functional IPTs, and support testing and fielding. Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while partnering with manufacturing, quality, propulsion, and program management to deliver producible aircraft on aggressive timelines.

Lead propulsion development and integration for small piston and micro-turbojet engines across test-stand and flight operations. Own engine selection, calibration, fuel systems, propeller specification, failure investigations, test planning, OEM/vendor interfaces, and documentation to deliver reliable powerplants for sUAS platforms.

Lead airframe structural design for UAVs across concept, prototyping, testing, production, and field support. Own CAD models, structural analysis, test planning/execution, DFM for traditional, additive and composite processes, and cross-functional integration with electrical and flight-test teams. Mentor engineers and establish company-wide airframe design standards.
