Drive Apex’s growth in US Government markets by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities with government prime contractors. Own full-cycle deal execution, account strategies, win plans, pipeline development, forecasting, CRM hygiene, customer relationships, and new business bookings. Provide market feedback on product, pricing, and competitive positioning while representing the company at industry events and customer meetings. The role requires deep knowledge of satellite markets, government acquisition processes, and prime/subcontractor dynamics.

Owns purchasing and sourcing of direct spacecraft materials, including supplier strategy, negotiations, contracts, spend management, cost reduction, and material flow. The role manages supplier relationships, logistics, inventory, delivery performance, and continuous improvement while partnering with production, engineering, program management, and leadership. It requires strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, plus willingness to travel for site visits and customer engagements.

Ensures spacecraft hardware quality across design, manufacturing, testing, and delivery. Leads QMS documentation, inspections, validation, audits, quality metrics, risk management, supplier performance, CAPA, and RCCA initiatives. Partners with engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply chain, and leadership teams to resolve quality issues, improve processes, and maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable space industry standards.

Conduct full-cycle recruiting for engineering, manufacturing, and production roles supporting spacecraft development. Responsibilities include developing sourcing strategies, partnering with hiring managers, screening and evaluating candidates, coordinating interviews, managing offers, tracking recruiting pipelines, and improving candidate and hiring processes. The role requires aerospace and technical recruiting knowledge, strong stakeholder partnership, and U.S. Persons status for access to export-controlled data.

Propulsion interns will support the development and improvement of spacecraft propulsion systems, fluid systems, and propulsion ground support equipment. Work may include design, test engineering, manufacturing, modeling and simulation, and hands-on build and test operations. Interns will complete an impactful project with mentorship and participate in aerospace learning and networking opportunities.

Design, develop, integrate, and test spacecraft payload deployment and articulation mechanisms, including hinges, latches, actuators, and release mechanisms. Own hardware from concept through flight while creating CAD models, drawings, tolerance analyses, and GD&T. Perform mechanical calculations, component selection, integration, troubleshooting, and environmental and life-cycle testing. Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional spacecraft teams to resolve hardware and production issues.

Designs, integrates, analyzes, manufactures, and tests payload hardware and supporting spacecraft structures. Responsibilities include creating CAD models and engineering drawings, managing mechanical interfaces, performing structural analysis, selecting materials and manufacturing processes, supporting assembly and environmental testing, troubleshooting hardware issues, and maintaining technical documentation. The role collaborates with payload, structures, thermal, avionics, manufacturing, suppliers, and systems engineering teams throughout the spacecraft development lifecycle.

Interns will develop closed-loop spacecraft test platforms, including 6DOF, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop simulations. They will execute simulation testing strategies to validate and verify satellite system performance, functionality, and reliability while collaborating with engineering teams and receiving mentorship throughout a 12-week aerospace internship.

Lead complex commercial and government satellite missions from spacecraft bus development through delivery. Serve as the senior customer interface, coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and mission services teams, manage schedules and dependencies, mitigate risks, resolve high-impact issues, and drive cross-functional decisions. Improve mission management processes, establish execution standards, and mentor Mission Managers while communicating technical and programmatic information to customer and executive stakeholders.
