Supports the national accounts and digital sales team with administrative duties, sales reporting, order and sample request processing, sales materials, presentations, and account information grids. Collaborates with sales leadership, account managers, editorial, marketing, and operations teams. Requires strong communication, organization, Excel skills, attention to detail, multitasking, and an interest in publishing sales.

Acquire, evaluate, develop, and edit approximately ten romance projects annually. Manage manuscripts from acquisition through publication, maintain author and agent relationships, negotiate rights, provide editorial feedback, prepare production materials, create catalog copy, estimate profitability, and coordinate with design, production, marketing, and publicity teams.

Designs, maintains, and supports secure, highly available IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Microsoft platforms, backups, and software deployment systems. Provides third-line helpdesk escalation, technical guidance, infrastructure project delivery, documentation, and continuous improvement. The role minimizes downtime and business risk, supports disaster recovery issues, and advises on infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements. Hybrid work is required for candidates near New York City or Greenbelt, Maryland.

Support the Special Interest marketing and publicity team: attend editorial meetings; conduct publicity, influencer, and institutional research; draft galley letters, press releases, and marketing materials; assist media tracking and pitching; create social content; manage departmental shipping; provide administrative support; and update data systems.
