Supports NYC Emergency Management’s Office of the Chief Counsel through legal research, drafting policies, opinions, contracts, and memoranda; assists with emergency procurements, FOIL requests, COIB memos, compliance, and records management. Candidates must maintain college or graduate-school matriculation, demonstrate strong organizational and legal research skills, understand legal terminology and contract drafting, uphold high ethical standards, and have completed a Professional Responsibility course.

Manages the Special Investigations Unit within Child Support Services, overseeing supervisors and investigations into concealed assets, evaded payments, and potential criminal or contempt proceedings. Coordinates with prosecutors, attorneys general, and law enforcement agencies; develops enforcement cases and collection initiatives; plans projects, tracks milestones, ensures regulatory compliance, reports progress to executives, and leads staff meetings.

Performs paralegal support for tax and bankruptcy matters, including entering case information into Law Manager, filing settlement and court documents, processing foreclosure and judicial-intervention paperwork, preparing attorneys’ court calendars, and sorting and distributing division mail. Duties require familiarity with the American legal system and substantive paralegal experience beyond primarily secretarial work.

Coordinates quality assurance and administrative processes for property tax and surcharge appeals. Maintains systems access, liaises with internal units and customer service centers, processes and documents appeal decisions, researches LLC and trust ownership, monitors sampling reports, identifies procedural issues, supports CRM responses, and completes administrative, reporting, and special-project requests.

Leads community engagement and communications for the Mayor’s LGBTQIA+ Affairs Office. Responsibilities include building stakeholder relationships, coordinating meetings and public events, drafting newsletters, social media, press materials, presentations, and web content, supporting awareness campaigns, monitoring community concerns, coordinating with City agencies, representing the Office publicly, maintaining outreach systems, and providing strategic and project management support on equity-focused initiatives.

Develop and support mission-critical enterprise imaging and web applications using C#, .NET, Angular, MVC, and multiple database platforms. Responsibilities include coding, system design, database optimization, deployment, application security, SDLC compliance, technical documentation, integrations, troubleshooting, mentoring developers, and serving as a temporary technical lead or supervisor.

Reviews Primary Residence Verification appeals, affidavits, surcharge rules, and exemption records. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures, coordinates with Legal and agency representatives, responds to complex property data requests, generates reports using PTS, supports public communications, and improves data quality by consolidating sources and cleaning parcel information.

Supervise budget analysts and oversee planning, forecasting, monitoring, reconciliation, and modification of personnel, operating, subcontract, grant, and capital budgets. Analyze expenditures, variances, accruals, and staffing actions; prepare financial reports, forecasts, budget submissions, and ad hoc analyses. Coordinate with procurement and accounts payable, support fiscal compliance, resolve discrepancies, and liaise with the NYC Office of Management and Budget.

Administers agency-wide hiring, promotion, and transfer activities by reviewing Personnel Request Forms, processing personnel records in NYCAPS, submitting records to OMB, and maintaining personnel systems and files. Analyzes resumes and qualifications, prepares spreadsheets and reports for executives, trains personnel coordinators, coordinates with IT&T on PAIRS, interprets citywide guidelines, and supports special projects.

Develop and manage social media, website, media relations, rapid-response, executive, and internal communications for the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice. Create videos, photography, written content, press materials, speeches, talking points, newsletters, and presentations. Translate complex policy and criminal justice issues into accessible stories, monitor emerging issues, and support public events and leadership communications.
