Design detailed electrical and instrumentation systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, including distribution, panel design, automation/network architecture, cable/IO/power schedules, procurement/spec evaluation, FAT documentation and occasional site support, ensuring compliance with Irish, European and IEC/WIMES standards.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer responsible for detailed electrical and instrumentation designs for water/wastewater plants, producing technical submissions, panel and distribution designs (MCC, LCP, MDB), automation network architecture, cable/IO/power schedules, FAT documentation, and mentoring junior engineers while ensuring compliance with ESB requirements and Irish/European/IEC/WIMES standards.

Design mechanical solutions for water and wastewater treatment projects including equipment selection, hydraulic and pumping system calculations, P&IDs, plant layouts, procurement specifications, and detailed construction drawings. Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams, manage design documentation, and support project delivery from concept through to implementation.

Support and improve organisational quality management through developing and maintaining QA standards (ISO-aligned), leading internal and third-party audits, defining metrics, driving continuous improvement, training staff, and supporting contractor assessment and document control across operations.

Lead mechanical design for water and wastewater treatment projects: equipment selection, hydraulic design, P&IDs, technical reviews, client liaison, tender support, and mentor junior designers.

Lead multidisciplinary mechanical design projects for water and wastewater treatment across Ireland. Manage full design lifecycle, mentor engineers, review mechanical layouts/P&IDs, ensure standards compliance, and maintain client relationships to deliver projects on time and budget.
